Client Server System of Internet Café Network

On this occasion I would like to explain about how to create the Internet cafe network in the small scale. What is needed here is 1. UTP Cables and UTP Connector; 2. Crimping tools for connecting the cables with the UTP connector; 3. LAN Cable Tester, to test the connection between both end edge of LAN cable connector, If you do not have it, make sure the connection of the connector of LAN Cable plugged or connected as well. Of course you have to consider the distance required for the LAN cable before connecting the cable into the UTP connector.

The sequence of the wires arrangement of UTP cable that will connecting to both UTP connector can be divided into Straight Through Cable and Cross Over Cable for more details let's see the picture below!


Straight Through Cable to be the most frequently and easy to remember to make it, in the process of building local area network. In general, Straight Through Cable used to connecting different devices, such as computer and hub. The composition wires in it as follows :

Cross Over Cable have cross linkages, between end edge 1 and 2 have different sequence. Typically used for connecting between hub to hub, computer to computer. Let's see the top picture on th right!

In the process of connecting of the UTP connector, arrange the cables as shown as the left picture above. After that insert into the holes of UTP connector. You must use a crimping tool in the installation of the connectors as shown as the middle picture above. After you finish install end edge connector, test with LAN Tester. Or if you feel confident with it can be directly put on the port LAN that located on each unit PC. Straight Through Cable in practice more frequently and widely used then the Cross Over Cable.

After you finish connecting the LAN cable with the UTP connector you can immediately practice to build the Client Server Internet Café Network as the scheme as shown below!
Suppose you have 7 units of computer. You have to determine where the computer is used as the billing server and find an effective way of the LAN cables towards to the computer client.

Router: in the application If you want the bandwidth management be outside of billing server of your network, use the router. Router can be used to set up the internet connection more completely, but it requires a special setting to set up the internet connection on your network. Therefore the usage of router becomes more complex and specifically for beginners. Router could be more sensitive in usage because equipped with network control software in it. Routers have the relative price is more expensive than Hub.

Hub: If you want a simple to use on the internet café network, use the hub. Hub is the tool most often used as the central of the LAN network, because it does not require any special set up. However, bandwidth management can not be used on the Hub, this only serves as a central network that connects all units on the network. There is still another way to setting the bandwidth when you using hub on your network.

ISP (Internet Service Provider): no matter about transmission media that used by the ISP, that be a point, where is the internet connection led to. In the Scheme of the left picture above, the internet connection the first coming on Hub/Router. while in the Scheme of the right picture the internet connection from ISP led to the computer server, from the server to the hub and from hub the internet connection spread to all of the network.

Pictured above is an example of a wired internet connection provider directly led to the hub and then spread throughout the network which is connected to the switch hub.
