Batur Kintamani is one of tourism destinations place with natural scenery that has a cool temperate relatively in Bali, because this is a highlands mountains in Bali. Galungan and Kuningan Day actually the biggest feast hindhu people especially in Bali another with Nyepi Day. Although not approved as a national holiday by the Indonesia Central Government, Galungan day have a very big atmosphere in Bali. If I compare with Muslims have Ramadan feast, most known as Lebaran in Indonesia, Hindus in Bali has Galungan and Kuningan feast.

The atmosphere is very excited, the roads are rather quiet in the way. Three days before Galungan coming that is at the end of March 2013. As the tradition in Bali the day before Galungan day comes, Balinese people is very excited for the preparation of welcoming the major feast such a Galungan day by placing a Penjor in front of every family houses, as a sign of the celebration will come soon.
Penjor is the symbol of prosperity that the world has given life to us all. Penjor was made by a bamboo curved at the top end with special decorations with Bali traditional art expression. The top of Penjor containing with rice crop, and other crops else as the symbol what have the nature given. Many various forms of the Penjor that may fouded in defferent regions. But the important thing here, that Balinese people especially will celebrate the victory and prosperity of nature in the Galungan day.
The feast of Galungan is celebration of the nature is rejoicing, victory from the evil, which is the virtue (dharma) wins against sleaze (adharma). So when Galungan day arriving, our family gathered together to pray for the welfare of the given from ancestor and the God.
The other activity else with placing penjor, for the women is very busy to prepare infrastructure for the ceremony called "mejejahitan" making offerings for the ancestors and Gods. While the man in the community of the region is slaughtered pigs. The pig is a symbol of human character about lazy (tamas) and other ugly trait that should be eliminated in our heart. After slaughtering pigs, that meat is shared to all. Here the traditional Balinese food called "lawar" will made. Lawar is made from pig's blood and grated coconut (nyuh) were given a special flavor.

Bali has a wide range of ritual beliefs inherited from generation to the generation into a custom or habit of us in addressing an event at the largest until the smallest. This place is called Ketapang Temple which located in the area Wanagiri village, district of Sukasada-Buleleng-Bali

Arguably cannibals that time period, that may like people who still exist in the Amazon, Brazilla probably. And then come a holy man by revelation who visited this island to spread the teachings of a new life and civilizations. Danghyang Nirartha is someone who smart in diving into the habit of human communities on the island that was still very primitive. In this age, Bali was covered with many dense forest. Danghyang Nirartha gave any civilized lifestyle was slowly, recognize to use wear and make more modern civilizations. Danghyang Nirartha was a someone who very humble and able to adapted with them. The primitive of balinese people believed him to be the Gods in that time. Danghyang Nirartha also had an amazing sense of art and spirit. Arguably the combined arts between India, China, and Malay (not Malaysia). The Short stories already advanced civilization with his teachings influence with Danghyang Niratha.
Untill the time was came in Bali, there were towering mountains in Bali, that now called Mount Agung (Gunung Agung). Danghyang NIrartha did't want the Balinese community will destroyed, he used all his supernatural powers to hold the land in order not to drown them all. The land that overturned held by him and placed somewhere in that now as Tanah Lot Temple (pekendungan temple) that is used to hold the waves.
Indigenous communities Bali at that time, was very grateful to Danghyang Nirartha who has saved the island of Bali and all of them. Then he told the Balinese people build a shrine to invoke the safety of the creator. Therefore, the temple serves as a lot of land ocean lifeguard Bali.
So that was all that around by the narrative of a person to me. But despite it all, this is the greatness of the nature that we have to keep that is the legacy of The Creator.
